Stateline Classics Car Club

The Club is deeply saddened to report the passing of their long-time president and good friend, Glenn Matteson. Glenn was more than just another car guy. He was a local business owner, a strong advocate for the community, and always willing to jump in and give someone a hand. With his tow truck he rescued an untold number of stranded motorists over the years. He was also the moving force behind the annual Father’s Day car show in Durand. It was his vision and passion that kept the show going for 25 years. He will be greatly missed. At this time our thoughts and prayers are with his family. Things won’t be the same without him.

Thanks to all the spectators, sponsors, and participants who supported the annual Father's Day car show for the last 25 years. 2021 marked the final year that the Stateline Classics Car Club will be hosting the show. The Club will be transitioning to a social and cruising club, opening the opportunity for any local civic organization to host the car show.

2021 marked the final Father's Day car show hosted by the Stateline Classics Car Club.

After 25 years, the club has decided to focus primarily on cruises allowing any other civic-minded group the opportunity to host the show.  2021 cruises included House on the Rock, Illinois Railway Museum, Clear Lake IA car show, Kelch Aviation museum, the microcar museum, and the Toy Train Barn.

Supporting St. Jude Children's Hospital: Once again the success of the Father's Day Car Show enabled Stateline Classics Car Club to donate $3000 to the hospital in 2019!

Club members assembled at the WXXQ, 98.5 to present the check. The club thanks all of the participants, sponsors and volunteers that make the car show a successful event!
